NCAA TOURNAMENT POOL STANDINGS
Sweet 16 Day 2
Last
night’s basketball action was fantastic, and it had a dramatic effect on our
pool. Cesar Gonzalez still leads, but he lost two of his final four. Jane
Reynolds is hot on his heels, but she lost her champion and has zero of her
final game choices left. With 8 points
per game today, and with lots of entries on both sides of the Arizona-Wisconsin
matchup, today’s games could very well shake things up some more.
We
lost three champions last night, with Virginia ,
Iowa State
and Louisville
all losing. Given that lots of entrants
selected either Michigan State or Michigan ,
and given that Kentucky is a traditional
basketball blueblood, the picks of the day go to the five people that chose Connecticut into the
Elite 8: Steffan Alexander, Robert
Tanen, JC Carralero, Sam Lozier, and Alex Sotelo. To be fair, JC did have Connecticut
in multiple brackets, though. I am sure
that he is a bit bittersweet about his primary bracket, as besides Connecticut , he had two
other games right. His lone loss was Louisville , his champion.
Good
luck tonight everybody.
